Getting Up Early

Why I love what I do

Besides working as part of the team at Creative Lounge, I believe in continued learning and teaching others the value of coding. Website development is an ever-changing field where there is always something new and fun to learn. I have been a volunteer instructor for Girls Learning Code, a program designed to help girls see technology in a whole new light — as a medium for self-expression, and as a means for changing the world.

I am also a member and past Volunteer Coordinator for Ladies that UX, a group that focuses on diversity and inclusion in the field of UX and provides education around User Experience.

A little about Cher

As a front-end developer, Cher has been building websites for over 13 years and has a keen interest in the psychology of digital behaviour and the user experience. This allows her to bring an important perspective to all of of her web builds.

She has worked on digital projects (website development, email development, analytics and tracking) for clients such as North Star Windows & Doors, Boomerang Insurance, TribeCX, Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra, St. Joesph’s Hospital and Foundation, Columbia Sportswear, Climate Care, Coppley Apparel Group, B’nai Jeshurun, and Fowler Kennedy.
